Taco Bake
Prep Time:15min
Total Time: 35min
makes: 6 serving


1pkg.(14oz) Macaroni & cheese dinner
1 lb. ground beef
1pkg. (1-1/4oz) taco seasoning mix
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup sour cream
1-1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup thick ' N chunky salsa
1 pkg. tortilla chips

PREHEAT oven to 400. Prepare dinner as directed on package. While macaroni is cooking, brown meat,drain. Add taco seasoning mix and water; simmer 5 min

STIR sour cream into prepared dinner. Spoon half of the dinner mixture into 8-inch square baking dish; top with layers of the meat mixture, 1 cup of the cheese and remaining dinner mixture.

BAKE 15min. Top with salsa and remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake, uncovered, an additional 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

JAZZ IT UP for extra crunch, prepare and bake as directed, topping with 1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips along with salsa and cheese.

Home Made Chicken Noodle Soup

As many chicken breasts (raw) as needed for your family

2-3 raw carrots(diced)

3-4 Celery pieces(diced)

4-8 chicken bouillon cubes (depending on your taste)

Egg Noodles

**Take raw chicken and place in a big pot. Cover with lots of water and place chicken bouillon cubes in with a dash of salt. Bring to a boil on high and reduce heat to medium high. Add Carrots (diced) and boil with chicken for 30 min. or until chicken is done. Take chicken out and add cut up celery and egg noodles (as much as you like) and begin to boil the noodles while you cut up the cooked chicken. Then add the chicken back into the pot and boil until the noodles are finished. **The reason you need lots of water to begin with is so when you add the noodles you will still have some broth for the soup.

THANKSGIVING TREAT!!!

Need a cute idea for a thanksgiving treat?? Here is something simple and easy. Just make some cupcakes, frost them and then do two blobs on the front for the head and use candy corns to make the feathers. you could also use something for the eyes but I didn't have anything so I went without. the pictures are blurry but they actually are pretty darn cute. Food" for thought Friday

Do any of you ever get tired of the same old stuff you cook for dinner or are you ever looking for some new yummy treats to bake, especially with the holidays coming up??? Well heres what my friend want to do to help with that issue. she thought it would be fun to start up a thing where every friday she will post a new recepie and I want all of you to do the same thing on your blog! Even just post the recepie you cooked the night before if you want but she just thought this would be a fun way for all of us to get some good recepies flowin. Feel free to start this up with your friend bloggers too as well. we hope you all will participate so we can get me some new fun recepies. So here is her recepie for today. she thought with the holidays coming up that we are always looking for goodies to make for people so here is one for you today. I will post her recepie and mine.





CAFÉ RIO STUFF

Chicken
5 lbs chicken breast 1 small bottle zesty Italian dressing 1 Tbsp chili powder

1 Tbsp cumin 3 cloves garlic, minced

**mix all ingredients together in a large crock pot. Cook on high for 5-7 hours. Remove chicken and shred with fork. Reserve a small amount of juice and pour over shredded chicken to keep moist keep warm.

Lime Rice
In a sauce pan sauté: 2 Tbsp butter 1 yellow onion, chopped 4 cloves garlic minced (1/2 tsp = 1 clove garlic) In a large pot bring to boil: 6 2/3 c water

8 tsp chicken bullion ½ bunch cilantro, chopped 2 tsp cumin
2 small cans diced green chillies 1Tbsp lime juice ½ tsp salt
**Add onion and garlic to boiling water.
Add 3 cups long grain rice. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 min.

Pico de Gallo
4 fresh tomatoes, chopped 1 white onion, chopped ¼ bunch cilantro, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced ½ tsp lime juice 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper
**Combine ingredients together in a medium bowl.

Pork
Pork Roast 1 bottle of honey BBQ sauce 1 Tbsp honey 1 liter of coke
**Place all ingredients in large crock pot and cook on low all night.
In the morning take the roast out leaving the juice in the crock pot, shred the roast.
Then place the shredded roast back in the crock pot and leave it on low.

Tomatillo dressing
1 pkg. buttermilk ranch mix 1 c buttermilk 1 c mayo ½ tsp lime ju.
1-2 tomatillos, peel ½-1 clove garlic, minced ½-1/3 bunched cilantro, chopped
½-1 small jalapeno, seeds removed
**Blend ingredients together in a blender. Add additional mayo if dressing is too thin. Keep refrigerated.


I have really only made the pork and the dressing out of these recipes and both are delicious so I am sure all the others are as well. *heidi*

Marbled Chocolate Fudge

3 cups (18 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
Dash of salt1
1/2 tsp vanilla1
(10 oz) pkg delux white baking pieces, coarsley chopped

Melt chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt in saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and chopped white baking pieces. Stir just until blended.Line an 8 or 9 inch square pan with waxed paper. Spread fudge mixture evenly into pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off paper and cut into squares. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator. Enjoy!!

Drayton's Birthday

DRAYTON TURNS 4

For Drayton's birthday we didn't do much but it was still fun. After school we had all the neighbors kids come over. I let the kids make the cake. Then we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Van Sickle for dinner and more cake.....

Halloween

We kinda had a crazy Halloween it started with the boys and i going to Bryson's parade at school then we went to the school district offices with Morgan and her sisters after that Morgan and i headed over to the mall were we let the kids play.

Kelly and I thought we would take the boys to pick pumpkins. Our neighbor each year has a pumpkin patch that anyone can go and pick pumpkins and all they ask is that you donate money to the perpetual education fund. We have been getting our pumpkins from there every year.

Talon on the Pot...

The other day Drayton was going to the bathroom and talon wanted to try to go so Drayton took it upon his self to undress talon and put him on the toilet and every thing. Drayton started screaming mom talons going to the bathroom. I was thinking BIG DEAL. He keep yelling at me so I going running in there to see Talon on the toilet pushing as hard as he can. I had to grab my camera. It was so cute....

The crazy day at lagoon...

For working at dishone they take you to lagoon at the end of the summer for there banquet. It was a blast to be there with my BFF Morgan. She gets to go every year because Marc is one of the owners. Every year i wish i could go but this year i worked for dish so i got to go. P.S. look at Bryan in the background LOL.

The next pic you see is Bryson hugging a poll as he was leaving to go to his baseball game he was talking to Bryan about what ride they were going to ride when they get back and he walked right in to the poll it was so sad:( i had to take a picture.

After Bryson's game they came back and they were starving so Morgan and i saved them a plate of food for the banquet there are some pic of them eating under a little bit of shelter BECAUSE it rained off and on all day long. But we didn't mind it made it that much more fun..

When we went into the haunted houses Bryson was so scared he closed his eyes the hole time.


I just want to tell dishone thanks for letting me work there. It was the funnest job I have ever had...... SO THANKS..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOSTON

The cutest thing just happened but First let me start by telling you my BFF left for two day she went to the Ellen show fun hu. But it is her little boy Boston's 3rd birthday sad:( So her husband just text me asking if i had any candles. I'm like ya ill bring them over i thought i better grab my camera because you know how men are. Well i get there and there is no cake and Marc is rummaging though the pantry trying to find something to put the candle in. He found a cinnabun. LOL He starts singing happy birthday it was so cute. WHAT A AWESOME DAD .

Brownies

This morning i made brownies and I put talon in his chair so he could lick the spoon. I ran up stairs to blog just for a minute. Because I have found so many people I'm hooked. So anyways here comes talon with a face full of brownies. The spoon didn't have that much on there so I knew something was up. I go down to see what the crap had gone on. He had got the spoon and was flipping brownies all over the place I was so mad but he was so cute I had a hard time staying mad.

This is my sisters baby its a funny story for the last 2 months my sister has been calling me telling me she was in labor I just kept telling her no your not. So this weekend was her baby shower. When i was driving down she calls and of course tells me she thinks she is in labor and to get there ASAP. let me remind you she isn't due until Oct 9.. so i tell her once again no your not.well i get there and she tells us we need to go the hospital and just get me checked. so i was like OK lets go. we get there and they do the test and now she is telling me she doesn't want to have until sun and I'm saying oh no you are having him when I'm here.well anyways. She ended up having him that night. he is so sweet. He look just like Braden....
